Birthday Celebrations, Mother's Day and Lyla gets 3rd set of ear tubes

Emma's 6th Birthday!
I can't believe my first born turned 6 years old! We had several celebrations to honor such a beautiful, fun, special young lady! Her birthday began with a family dinner at our favorite hibachi restaurant...... TAI SHOW NORTH. Eddie takes our immediate family out each year and it has turned into a special tradition for Emma. She looks forward to the family dinner each year. We always have such a great time. Here are pics from her first birthday celebration, which began Friday evening on May 3.

EMMA'S BACKYARD BASH!
Next celebration was a huge backyard party with approximately 50 children and their parents! Emma wanted this party to be spectacular and I couldn't wait to start planning this party! I love parties and when it comes to my family, birthdays are a HUGE deal around here. Thank goodness I have an awesome husband who doesn't mind the expense and just wants his girls to be happy and have a day that is as special as they are. So with that in mind I went ALL OUT! Emma had...............relay races, 2 clown entertainers, face painting, tattoos, balloon sculpting, popcorn machine, cotton candy machine, a giant parachute, a candy table, a DJ, and Mister Softee Ice Cream Truck!
The party was such a success and Emma and the children had a terrific time! Here are pics from party # 2!

MY Birthday!
My birthday is the day after Emma's. Since my bday fell on a Tuesday, we celebrated by going out to a local restaurant with the kids. Then Eddie took me to a great steakhouse called INSIGNIA on the weekend. We usually go into the city for the bday and spend the weekend but so much has been going on that we just made my bday a one night of celebrating which is fine with me. I had such a great time enjoying dinner with my hubby. I never took any pics from my bday dinner with Eddie. I completely forgot!!!! I was having too much fun! LOL

I love my family!!

MOTHER'S DAY

I had a wonderful Mother's Day! I love May because we do a lot of celebrating around here! Plus Emma and I got a ton of gifts which is always fun! The day started out with brunch at one of my favorite brunch places..... THE COOPERAGE INN. Next, Eddie made an appointment for me to get a pedicure and manicure with my girl Emma. Then we hung out the rest of the day just the four of us!

Me and my girls!!!

LYLA'S 3rd SET OF EAR TUBES!
After all the celebrating we went to Dupont Children's Hospital in Delaware for Lyla's ear tube surgery. Since this was Lyla's 3rd time getting tubes, they decided to put a longer tube in so hopefully they will stay in longer. She never had ear infections just lots of fluid that didn't drain so it's important to keep a close eye on this fluid because it could cause hearing loss. This surgery is a fast in and out procedure but since we come from the eastern end of Long Island, we go the day before. Eddie booked a one bedroom suite at the Sheraton in downtown Wilmington. We went out for dinner, went swimming in the indoor pool, and had fun preparing for Lyla's surgery. Lyla did well and we left the day of the surgery to drive back to Long Island. Here are some pics!
