FLORIDA/VEGAS GETAWAY AND SUMMER FUN!
Wow!.....I am a blog slacker!!! I've been having so much fun with Eddie and the girls that I have completely neglected our blog! Well I guess it's time to catch everyone up on what we've been doing this summer! I will start with our great vacation. This summer we took the kids to Florida and my wonderful parents watched them, while Eddie and I went to Vegas..... ALL BY OURSELVES! We left the kids for 6 days and may I say it was wonderful!! Eddie has been working a lot and we both needed this well deserved break! We relaxed by the pool, went shopping, went out to delicious dinners, gambled, saw a show, got pampered, slept LATE, worked out....it was AMAZING!!!!! Here are some pics from our vacation:

I ran my very first 5K race and came in 2nd place in my age group (30-39) and got a medal.....

We hosted our First Annual LPA Summer Get Together..........................
We had 70 people at our house. We had the party catered and we enjoyed a DJ and of course...Mr. Softee!!! The Granshaw Family never has a party without Mr. Softee. We had our local chapter and other people from various chapters come out to Long Island.

| Lyla turns 3 on September 21 so we sang Happy Birthday to her since her LPA family was at our house. |

The coolest milestones we celebrated this summer were......
Emma lost her very FIRST TOOTH!!!!!!!

| She got $20 from the tooth fairy!!! |
and Lyla is now fully potty trained, takes a shower, and sleeps in a toddler bed!

| We converted Lyla's crib into a toddler bed in June! |
 |
| We also have her taking showers. We found this cool modification which helps her be very independent! She gets in and out of the shower all by herself because the shower is low to the ground. |

| She was also potty trained at the end of July! Big Girl underwear!!! |

| I have these in my house. I didn't get a small potty for her. She gets up on the step and I just place her on the potty. She reaches the toilet paper by herself and wipes her private in the front by herself. I have to help her with the back. |
