Washington DC Plans!

We will be going to our FIRST National this year! We are sooooo excited to meet up with friends and get to know other POLP families! Our family will be in Washington DC from July 1-4. I have put together some plans to try and get some POLP families together. Please keep in mind that these plans may not work for everyone. I just wanted to extend the invite to all my Blogger friends. I have also forwarded these plans to the POLP Yahoo Online Group too.

Monday, July 1 (arriving in DC)

Monday July 1 @ 12:45 meet at Museum

We will be at Museum from 1:00-3:30 (give or take)

Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum ( National Mall Building )

Independence Avenue at 6th Street SW, Washington DC 20560

Free Admission

No museum parking but lots are nearby

Planetarium or IMAX shows

$9 adults 13-59

$7.50 kids 2-12

Feature Films

$15 adults

$13.50 kids

Simulator ride

Single ride is $7

Interactive $8

Riders must be 42 inches tall to ride by themselves or they can ride with a parent

Interactive flight simulator ride all riders must be 48 inches tall

These rides are motion rides and people with back, neck or heart conditions should avoid the rides.

Dinner that evening.....

4:30-4:45 meet in the hotel lobby for dinner. The restaurant we have chosen is:

Additional Info:

Parking is $16 (3 hours) $22 ( more than 3 hours) and you can reserve a spot online for faster and convenience parking.

We can meet at the entrance of the Zoo at 10:00am sharp.

We will wait around until 10:15am and then proceed inside for some Zoo
