WINTER BREAK!
Here on Long Island we have something called winter recess. The kids have a full week off from school! Being that I am a teacher, I am off as well! Eddie decided to take this week off too so he could be with us. We had a fun filled week planned. Eddie and I had 4 "Date Nights". We do a "Date Night" once a week but because we were both off, we got to enjoy each other 3 additional nights. We LOVE spending time together. We also had a lot of fun activities planned with the girls! The one thing we did was we took the girls into NYC and we spent 2 days there. We let Emma make the plans and she had a ball! We also got to hang out with friends. Emma had plans with friends too and I can't believe it is Sunday and the entire week is done. Well I guess.....
time flies when you are having fun! Here are some pics from our winter recess!

Family Trip to New York City
|
Eddie booked a huge suite for us |
|
We went to FAO Schwartz toy store. Eddie told Emma to pick out ANY toys she wanted. She picked out: the snake
wrapped around her neck, a barbie, a book and a blue M&M stuffed animal. She picked out a book and a stacking toy for Lyla. Eddie and I keep making jokes about the toys because he thought her choice of toys was not very good but Emma loved her toys. Eddie wanted to get her a really cool toy and kept trying to persuade her to get something big and unique. Emma went with what she picked out and nothing else! |

Emma wanted to go ice skating. She saw all the people the night before when we did the horse and buggy ride. |

Emma's first time ice skating-they didn't have a double blade. She is on a single blade |

The two days we were there it was in the 50's. Beautiful weather! |

The girls did great at the hotel and slept all night. Emma didn't want to sleep in her room though. She slept in our bed during our trip. We rented movies and snuggled in the bed together (All 3 of us- Thank goodness it was a king size bed!). Lyla slept in the living room and she was so tired from all the activities that she passed right out!
A BIG thank you to my hubby for taking us to NYC! |
