I'm 19 months and look at what I can do!!!!!!

Lyla turned 19 months on the 21st

Lyla can stand all by herself now and has been doing this for the past couple of weeks!! We are thrilled!!!

Ear Tube Update!

Lyla's left ear tube is out and because of this, fluid built up in her left ear. We are going to Dupont Children's Hospital in Delaware on May 16th to get new tubes put in. This is very common with children who have Achondroplasia.

Other than that our beautiful daughters are doing well! We are getting ready for two birthdays in the Granshaw household.

1st- Emma Grace is turning 5!!!! We have a huge birthday weekend planned celebrating her birthday!!
2nd- My bday is coming! Can't wait!!!

  1. Yay Lyla!!! She is awesome!! Bummer about having to have another tube placed...but of course taking care of the fluid buildup will make her more comfortable. We will be at DuPont the following week for Seamus' checkups! Would have been great if we were there together!

  3. I just wanted to say hi... My name is Stephanie and I have a 17 month old little girl with achondroplasia. I don't have a blog but follow a few that have a child close in age to my daughter. Lyla is SO cute and it's been fun to see the girls hit milestones at similar times. :). Thx for sharing your family's story! It's been great for me as a mommy to see another sweet one so close in age!

  4. yay for cutie pie Lyla! She is so adorable, she must be squished and hugged daily with a face like that! So happy when they hit those milestones especially when they can be a bit behind sometimes. Hope all goes well for the surgery in Delaware! Happy Birthday to that beautiful Emma! xoxo
